Last night, I was part of the Jamaica Gleaner’s team for their Jazz and Blues Festival’s social media lounge. It was so much fun. I walked around the grounds taking pictures of people enjoying the music, then ran back to upload my pictures. Patrons were mellow and having a great time- it was a “Reggae Dance Party” theme (yes, not really blues or jazz, but no one seems to mind). Performers included Third World Party, Cocoa Tea, Rootz Underground, Pluto Shervington, Admiral Bailey (shell the place dung! as JAs would say), Alaine (love her!), Lust and Chaka Demus and Pliers (Murder She Wrote). As always, live reggae music is perhaps one of the most amazing experiences on earth, and working with such a young, enthusiastic team made it even better. Tonight, is Michael Bolton. Enough said. Here is the link to check out the zillions of pictures I took.
