Hope Gardens

We took a visit to Hope Gardens this weekend. It is a beautiful, peaceful spot, but much of it is in disrepair. My husband said he visited as a boy with his school, and at that time it was well-kept. The Chinese Gardens, however, are well-tended, but for some reason it was closed when we were there. We also saw a group of elderly people being lead around by monks, right at the time when a flock of green parrots flew overhead. Both the birds and my daughter were shrieking, the latter with joy, as she is obsessed with birds right now.

Another road scene: This man was not only balancing precariously on this vehicle, but he was breathing in lungfuls of black smoke while on his phone.

Oh dear….I wonder how they will determine who is allowed in to the party…
