This week marks the celebration of Journalism Week in Jamaica. The nation continues to enjoy a relatively free press, which is cause for celebration, and quality journalism continues to be produced, in the form of investigative programs from 18 Degrees North, as I’m permitting myself to indulge in some shameless self-promotion. I will be a part of a panel on Education and New Media this Friday, as part of the University of Technology’s faculty, along with the Dean of Faculty and Liberal Education Studies, Dr Rohan Lewis, and another member.  It is from 4-6 pm should you wish to stop by UTech’s campus.
