A group of parrots gather in a tree high above my apartment every morning and late afternoon. The sound they make is like no other bird- a cross between a turkey and a crow. And they really talk to one another, someones for an hour or so. We see them when we are playing outside as the sun sets. My daughter is always alarmed at the racket. I think they are yellow-billed Amazons. They are a striking bright green and they travel in flocks. I managed to catch one here, who for some reason was hanging out alone. It is hard to decipher, but the bird is right at the top of the tree.
