The British actor Idris Elba is in Kingston shooting a film called Yardie, based on a Victor Headley novel about a young man who arrives in London with a kilo of cocaine.

We went walking along the glorious Rideau Canal, with my daughter saying “Hi water,” the whole way.

We fed the birds on the banks of the Rideau River today. It was lovely, although they got a little bit too rowdy for a toddler’s liking.

We are doing lots of walking in parks. They are so well-maintained, and this sign even outlines “park etiquette.”
