Good morning from the Blue Mountains

Who knew my post on the old Goodyear factory would generate so much interest. It did, so I thought I would provide an update, although a bit late. It seems the government is going to turn it into a town centre. It also seems, according to pictures in yesterday’s Observer, that work has started.
Here is a link to the Observer story on the matter. The town centre will also be built in conjunction with an expanded highway.

Beyonce’s husband, Jay-Z, visited Jamaica on Friday. The rapper and businessman was apparently recording at Tuff Gong Studios with Damian Marley.
An interesting feature in Forbes on Saint, a Jamaican modeling agency that is supplying the fashion industry with some of the most popular working models right now.
Jamaica’s Parliament is currently reviewing its Sexual Offenses Act. Included among the items up for review is the definition of rape. Here are executives from Jamaicans for Justice, ready to testify. An important day.
