Please read this thread. As a journalism instructor, I teach students about respecting the dignity of all subjects. If there were any public benefit, I might feel differently, but it never seems to serve the public good.

I struggle with the idea that in order for the world to empathize with Black and brown people, it must see our lifeless bodies. Images of white death are so protected, but OUR bodies, sans life, are easily placed on display, and consumed.
