Clouds gathered as Eta passed south of us. The rain has been falling on an off, with little damage compared to the last storm. One community on the north coast suffered more than most, and a water spout appeared in St. Mary, but for the most part, Jamaica yet again was lucky…
Portland had a mini-tornado and waterspout! And is still suffering from flooding. I feel that the longer the rains continue, the worse the damage will be in terms of landslides. Mountainsides are saturated. It has been raining almost continuously in our part of town for the past two days…and latest models predict Eta may turn around. I just hope they are wrong!
