Windrush apology


When governments issue a formal apology, you know they realize they have really screwed up. This is the case with the so-called Windrush citizens. Check out the story here.  Vindication.

The Windrush issue, in which Caribbean immigrants for whatever reason did not become “official” residents of the Ü.K., is flaring up again. Over the past few years, several elderly were forced, or narrowly escaped being sent back to their birth place. Now the government is refusing a meeting with ambassadors of the respective countries. And a lot of lives could be upended. Read the Guardian story here.
